Via ExeterThe Dartmoor Line runs from Exeter mainline stations to Okehampton. The 118 bus to Tavistock connects with the two-hourly services. Exeter is served by trains from London Paddington, London Waterloo and the North.

Via Plymouth – Regular trains also run to Plymouth from London Paddington, from Penzance and the North. Stagecoach runs a bus service to Tavistock which is a 5 minute walk from the station.

Via Gunnislake – The nearest station at 4.5 miles from Tavistock, is on the scenic Tamar Valley branch line from Plymouth. The 79 bus is a direct service to Tavistock.
